Machrihanish Dunes

On the outer fringe of western Scotland, there exists a very special place. In the southwest corner of the Mull of Kintyre, where the movements of sea, sand, wind and grazing sheep have intertwined over countless centuries, a landscape has been crafted; a landscape perfectly and naturally suited to the purest form of the royal and ancient game of golf.

It is here, nestled against the rugged dune-lined shores of the Atlantic Ocean that you’ll find a new chapter being written on golf in its purest form. This is Machrihanish Dunes - the world’s most natural golf course. Set hard against the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, Machrihanish Dunes shares breathtaking views with the adjacent Machrihanish golf Club links (ranked 39th by Golf Digest’s “top 100 Courses Outside the U.S.”). Designed by David McLay Kidd, the inspired routing features six greens and five tees at the ocean’s edge. The two world-class links course along with the village at Machrihanish Dunes provides visitors with a golf destination rivaling the best in the world.
