Local Attractions

Visit England and discover a country of great contrast and diversity both in the places you go to and in the people you meet.

All the regions of England are within easy reach of the exciting capital city, London, famed for first class culture, iconic landmarks, fascinating history and pageantry along with its world-class restaurants and theatres.

London is a vibrant, bustling, multi-cultural city. It is also a city full of history, heritage and culture. Visit some 300 museums and art galleries or enjoy London's 6,000 restaurants.

Experience a birds eye view of the city on the London Eye or view the city from the water on a cruise along the famous Thames river. Meet your favourite celebrities and V.I.P’s everyday of the week at Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum or watch the spectacular changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace. The options are simply endless in this regal city.

In England's North Country you’ll find the scenic splendour of lakes and mountains, castles, dramatic coastlines and glorious National Parks, combined with the medieval city of York, lively Blackpool and Manchester, world renowned for its football. Travel south and you'll see a gentler landscape; quiet country lanes and inland waterways, the shimmering fenlands of the east coast and Stratford, Shakespeare’s birthplace and the university city of Cambridge.

Wales, England’s little neighbour, is anything but small when showcasing it’s attractions. One day you could find yourself in a National Park or world Heritage sight, the next day you could be admiring a Blue Flag beach or a premier garden.  Take in the splendour of Cardiff Castle or Caerphilly Castle or relax for a few moments in Bute park or Cardiff Bay.

Cardiff is Europe's youngest Capital City, achieving it's status in 1955, and although it has grown into one of the most vibrant cities it has not lost it's small town quality. The centre of Cardiff is surprisingly compact and most of its sights and attractions are only a short walk from one another. The Museum, Civic Buildings and Castle can all be seen from the pedestrians shopping areas which have modern shopping malls interspersed with beautifully kept Victorian Arcades. Cardiff plays host to many festivals and sporting events throughout the year and boasts a plethora of bars and restaurants catering for the  simple or sophisticated international palate.
